Drawing is a small area of freedom and defiance that finds expression on a piece of paper. Contemporary culture is treating this form with indulgence. The technology is already well-grown, we cannot hope for a discovery in painting, for a new avant-garde. Yes, we can see contemporary painting at art fairs, of course. But all the more it marks its place as a decorative element of a rich interior.
As a consequence of rapid marginalization, painting and drawing are once again finding a fighting chance. But not for a new word in art, but for the democratization of art as it is. With the opportunity to answer the most urgent question: how to overcome the growing inequality, exclusion and aggression?
